Can you insert veneers on crooked teeth?

Veneers can be an effective solution for improving the appearance of slightly crooked or misaligned teeth.

However, for more severe misalignments, orthodontic treatment options such as braces, aligners or Invisalign may be recommended before veneer application to ensure the best aesthetic and functional outcome with a minimally invasive approach.

If you want to learn more, booking your initial consultation online will allow us to assess your teeth and give you a better understanding of your options.

Dental veneers are considered a permanent dental treatment because a portion of the original tooth enamel is removed to fit them. Once placed, this process cannot be reversed.

Veneers are not bad for your teeth. They are a popular cosmetic treatment for improving the appearance of teeth without significant alterations to the tooth’s structure. However, because some enamel is removed to place them, the tooth may become more sensitive. This sensitivity usually subsides within a few days to a week.

No, you cannot whiten veneers with traditional teeth whitening products or treatments. It’s important to select a shade you’re happy with before they are applied, as the colour cannot be altered once in place.

With proper care, dental veneers can last between 10 to 15 years. Maintaining good oral hygiene practices and regular dental check-ups can help extend their lifespan.

Veneers are often used to correct a variety of dental issues, including stained, chipped, worn, misaligned, or uneven teeth. They can also close gaps between teeth for a more uniform smile.

Dental veneers do not require special care beyond regular brushing, flossing, and dental check-ups. However, it’s recommended to avoid using your teeth to open packaging or biting into very hard foods to prevent damage.

Yes, veneers can be removed and replaced if they become damaged or worn out. The process is similar to the original application, where the old veneer is carefully removed, and a new one is crafted and bonded to the tooth.
